Big Husky, Big Moves: Sydney Premier League Ladder Takes Shape

Round 6 of the Sydney Premier League Interclub League brought Australia’s top club competition south to the picturesque Huskisson coastline as part of the Huskisson Triathlon Festival, with Elite Energy delivering another high‑quality race weekend.

While challenging surf conditions on race morning saw the swim leg cancelled, it did nothing to dull the intensity of the Premier League contest. Clubs embraced the revised race format in a big way, travelling in strong numbers and turning Big Husky into one of the most decisive rounds of the season.

Premier League Ladder After Round 6

  1. Cronulla Sharks – 830 points
  2. Warringah Waves – 628 points
  3. Balmoral Purple Thunder – 610 points
  4. Concord – 528 points
  5. Sydney Giants (STG) – 480 points
  6. Brighton Polar Bears – 439 points
  7. Rozelle Pulse – 341 points
  8. Macarthur – 235 points
  9. Manly Vipers Tri Club – 187 points
  10. Balance Bolt – 179 points

Big Husky proved to be a defining round for the Premier League, once again underscoring the importance of club depth and consistency.

  • Cronulla Sharks reinforced their status as the benchmark club of the season, collecting 150 points in Round 6 to build a commanding lead at the top of the ladder. Back‑to‑back monster scores at CC26 and Big Husky have firmly placed the Sharks in control of the title race.
  • Balmoral Purple Thunder matched Cronulla point‑for‑point at Big Husky with a 150‑point haul of their own, continuing an impressive late‑season surge and tightening the contest for second place.
  • Warringah Waves remained strong with 116 points, holding onto second position but now under heavy pressure from a fast‑finishing Balmoral.
  • Concord TC delivered another solid and consistent performance (100 points), consolidating fourth place and maintaining separation from the chasing pack.

Further down the ladder, Brighton Polar Bears (115 points) and Sydney Giants (94 points) continued their strong second halves of the season, while Manly Vipers, Macarthur, and Balance Bolt all took advantage of the revised format to add valuable late‑season points.
