Covid-19 is ensuring that difficult decisions are having to be made regularly.
We are aware that ICS02 decisions pale in significance with all that is going on in the world at the moment, however, it is important to draw a fair conclusion to the ICS02 season. One that rewards and recognises the participation and performance of our members and our clubs for their efforts and commitment this season. We hope that our decision does not frustrate or disappoint any of our members or clubs and can only apologise if it does.
With all remaining ICS02 events being postponed until September 2020 at the earliest, no more events will fall in the 2019/2020 triathlon season.
With that basis, we have decided to end ICS02 with immediate effect.
Those postponed events will be listed on ICS03 calendars. Club Champs will feature twice on the ICS03 across all calendars (excluding Central West) although TNSW will reassess the points system in due course once postponed commercial Race Directors confirm the dates of their events with TNSW.
In order to ensure that recognition and reward for participation and performance, which is the sole basis of the Interclub Competitions, still occurs, we have decided that the ICS02 season will NOT BE DEEMED NULL AND VOID but instead, ICS02 standings as they currently stand will be final.
- We understand that those clubs who will now be crowned Champions of their respective competitions, may be disappointed to win it in this manner.
- We understand that those members who will now be crowned MVP of their clubs or respective competitions, may be disappointed to win it in this manner.
- We understand that those clubs and members who believe that over the remainder of the season they would have accumulated enough points to win their respective competitions, may also be disappointed.
We would just like to reiterate to these organisations and individuals, that we deem it of upmost importance to reward and recognise the participation and performances that have already occurred this season.

Sydney Triathlon Premier League – Hills Red Army
Sydney Triathlon League 1 – Warringah Waves (Warringah Waves and Concord promoted to the Sydney Triathlon Premier League for ICS03)
Sydney Triathlon League 2 – Pulse (Pulse and Eastern Suburbs Swans promoted to Sydney Triathlon League 1 for ICS03)
Hunter – N/A
New England – N/A
No relegation will occur in the Sydney ICS structure this season.
