The Central West Interclub League signed off in spectacular fashion on Sunday as the Dubbo Triathlon Club hosted the fourth and final round of the 2025/26 season. With warm conditions, strong club spirit and a competitive edge on every leg of the course, it was the perfect setting for a league finale that went right down to the wire.
In a season defined by tight margins and fierce rivalry, the Orange Piranhas emerged as the 2025/26 Central West Interclub Champions, sealing the title with a flawless final‑round performance.
Final Ladder – Central West Triathlon League (ICL08)
- Orange Piranhas – 506 points
- Mudgee Red Devils – 490 points
- Dubbo Hippos – 484 points
- Bathurst Wallabies – 311 points
- Cowra Cobras – 71 points
The numbers tell the story with the top three clubs finishing within just 22 points of one another.
Orange came away with the season win, but they were pushed all the way to the final race. Only 16 points separated Orange from Mudgee in second place, and an even slimmer 6 points split Mudgee from a fast‑finishing Dubbo.
What ultimately made the difference was Orange’s exceptional late‑season surge—three consecutive perfect rounds—giving them the consistency needed to stay just ahead of their rivals.
Mudgee’s early dominance and Dubbo’s powerful home‑round finish kept the title alive right until the last athlete crossed the line.
