Maitland Tri Club and Central Coast Tri Club set the pace in the HITS

Round 1 of the Hunter Interclub Triathlon Series (HITS)  was held last weekend, which also doubled up as the second club race for Tomaree Triathlon Club.

With a sold out field hitting their 120 max capacity, the race was full of competitors from over the Hunter and Central Coast. The threat of wet weather didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the athletes, with a large field of over 100 toeing the line.

Two races were held including a Long Course (600/22/6) and short course (300/11/3) with competitive performances across all age categories.

Next HITS race will be hosted by the Newcastle Triathlon Club in December.
