Tigers on top in New England

Regretfully, last year’s series was cancelled due to COVID and race cancellations, but the inaugural season was taken out by the Armidale Armidillos, after dominating across the two races.

In ICS01, the Tamworth Tigers were the runners-up to the Armidillos, but the Tigers were keen to turn it around this season and were clearly not happy to play ‘second fiddle’ anymore.

Second fiddle they are no longer, after they saw their opportunity and asserted their dominance of the New England region, taking home an impressive 9 points in the Grand Final event at the 2021 TNSW Club Champs, and a total of 20.5 points across the entire season. Lauren Ferguson the start for the Tamworth outfit with a second place finish in her AG. This left the club a solid 7 points ahead of the Armidale Armidillos ensuring that the Tigers take home their maiden piece of silverware.

The Armidillos were solid at the Club Champs, but not quite up to the challenge but would be happy with their second place finish overall.

Moree, Gunnedah and Inverell didn’t feature in the Grand Final Round
