Round One Previews

South Coast Regional Interclub Series Round 1 –

Round one for the South Coast Regional Interclub series will be the Berry Duathlon.

This will be the first time this event has been run and will feature two distances, but it is the Sprint distance that will earn your club those valuable points.  Only a quick 45 minutes from Wollongong, and one of NSW’s nicest country towns, make it a weekend getaway or a speedy day trip and enjoy everything the south coast has to offer. And I have heard some excellent feedback about the local pie shop too!

North Coast Regional Interclub Series Round 1 –

The North Coast Regional Interclub Series Round 1 is excited to include the brand new Ballina Triathlon race.

Described by our good friends at NX Sport as ‘Safe, stunning, coastal’  what better place to bring it than in Ballina!  The inaugural Ballina Triathlon offers a wide range of races and there is something for everyone including the juniors. But if you are seeking the points for your club, ensure you register into the Sprint and good luck as a number of clubs have got this new race on their schedule and are excited about taking home serious points.

Sydney South West Regional Interclub Series Round 1 –

Round 1 of the Sydney South West Regional Interclub series starts with the Hills Tri Club Duathlon.

Whilst they offer something for everyone (junior races, enticer distances), the ‘Points Earning Race’ is the Individual Sprint (5km, 20km, 2.5km). So make sure you register into the Sprint to earn those all important points for your club!

At a venue that needs no introduction to the majority of our members, the closed roads and safety this affords makes it a race that can’t be missed. Not to mention, this will be the first chance to show the other clubs what your club is bringing to the series.

Sydney South East / North Regional Interclub Series Round 1 –

Round one for the Sydney North and Sydney South East regional interclub series will be the Elite Energy Duathlon Olympic Park.

Our good friends at Elite Energy  offers both a Super Sprint and Sprint distance, be sure to get amongst the Sprint Distance to earn performance and participation points for your clubs!

Race around sites like the Olympic Stadium and other legacy facilities built for the Sydney Olympics in 2000. After the race you can enjoy some of the often underappreciated but high quality eateries in the area. My personal recommendation: the Chicken Laksa from Lotus Story Restaurant.

How do I ensure I am earning points for my club?

No, to enter the series simply register through the event’s website and be an active Triathlon Australia member.

It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure they are including the correct Triathlon Australia membership number and the first name and surname matches their TA membership, along with the club.  If you don’t do this, you will not be able to earn any points for your club.
